October 2016 marked two years since I last took a major trip by myself, and I decided that I was due for another. Back then it was Europe; this time, I took a road trip. My first decision was: East Coast or West Coast? A cousin's wedding in Baltimore decided for me: East Coast. But as much as I enjoyed the wedding, Portland, Maine two days after that was the pinnacle of my trip, in more than one way. The northernmost point on my trip, it presented the photographic opportunity I had been waiting for: the Portland Head Light, the most photographed lighthouse in the world. See why?
