Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was actually one of my very first attempts. My husband bought me roses for my birthday and I thought how beautiful they were. I got out my camera and started taking shots of them. I liked this one the most. I was so surprised and delighted that so many people loved my photo. It was so encouraging and after that, I takes photos all the time and all over the place.

Time

We were just back from shopping on a Saturday afternoon and the light was just perfect for my shot. The flowers were on my kitchen table and the shopping all around the floor and there I was taking photos of my roses.

Lighting

As it was my first attempt at photography, I didn't know much about lighting. It looked good in my frame and I was happy with that.

Equipment

This was with a Canon 1200, my first camera.

Inspiration

I love taking flowers and I love close ups. The way the main subject is very clear and all the rest is fading away into haze..

Editing

No no post editing, I didn't even know how to do it back then.

In my camera bag

My camera, its raincoat in case it rains, I live in Belgium :). My tripod and extra battery and a cloth to wipe my lens.

Feedback

All I can say is, count to at least 5 before snapping and examine your frame to make sure what you want to see on your photo is in there. Enjoy
