Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in Australia. We were there for a wedding so had lots of luxury time to play with my camera. We came from Belgium so we were there for a month. This little koala looked so happy in deep sleep on his branch. It was my first time to see a real koala, it was so exciting.

Time

It was around 10:00 and we went on a tour of an animal park in Brisbane and as usual I brought my camera. I just couldn't resist this koala. The lighting was good and he looked so good.

Lighting

Lighting was good and it was in August so bright. Lighting is key in photography and patience tog et just the right lighting.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 1000. I didn't use a tripod as he was still so didn't need any support. As he was sleeping, I could take my time to get it perfect.

Inspiration

I love animals of all kinds and can never stop taking photos of them. They are perfect subjects to tell a story.

Editing

No I didnt, I felt it didnt need any changes. I loved it straight away.

In my camera bag

I pack my Canon, two lenses, an extra battery and my tripod.

Feedback

An animal park is a wonderful place to get photos. There are so many animals and they are there and not out in the wild. just need a lot of patience for them to come out of their hidden areas and snap.
