Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken at a United Methodist Church in Owasso, OklahomaTime
It was taken at arount 7pm.Lighting
The Priest would not allow flash in the church, so this shot was taken with ambient light, which was rather dim.Equipment
I am a Sony shooter. This was taken with the Sony A77V with a Samyang 85mm f 1.4 maunual focus lens set wide open with a shutter speed of 1/60. Hand held with no tripod.Inspiration
The wedding was very traditional with a lot of kneeling and praying, so this was taken when the couple finally knelt before the alter and cross.Editing
Post processing was converting to Black and White via Alien Skin Exposure. With a touch of vignetting added. In my camera bag
I always have my prime lenses. I love shooting with old lenses. My bag has a Helios 44-2 (55mm f2), a Zeiss Jena 135 f3.5 and my Samyang 85mm f1.4. I also have a 50mm f2 Schneider Retina mount and Schneider Retina mount 135mm f4.Feedback
Patients is key. Don't rush things. Compose and shoot is key. Too many people fire off thousands of pictures for an event without taking the time to get a perfect shot.
