Taken at Alameda Park Zoo, Alamogordo, New Mexico. This curious fellow wanted very much to know what my camera was, and actually reached for it several times while I was trying to get a good shot. I really like this one, though really his face was an array of emotion the entire time, clearly very curious and interested in us (myself and the zoo director).

Location
This photo was taken at the Alameda Park Zoo in Alamogordo, New Mexico, in their old capuchin exhibit.Time
This must have been early to mid-afternoon. The zoo is a fair distance away from home, and I work second shift; hence, I probably got there around that time frame.Lighting
The only lighting here is the sun; this was outdoors, and New Mexico gets some gorgeously bright days.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon d3300, using a Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro VC USD lens at f/4. No flash or tripod was used.Inspiration
I had contacted the zoo to see if it might be possible, as a local photographer, to be shown around to places that most people wouldn't get to see, for the purposes of getting good close-up images of some of their animals. The zoo's curator got back with me, we set up a meeting, and this picture was one of the results! For this, I was not allowed into the capuchin exhibit (for what I hope are obvious reasons), but the curator did allow me direct access to the immediate outside of the cage; this is the result.Editing
I don't believe I did any post-processing on this photo as it was uploaded here. I did eventually play with the color depths on my own, and came up with a result I was happier with, but in this case here, no post-processing was done.In my camera bag
Lately, my primary photography camera has been the Nikon d850; this camera has shared space in my small lens bag with a Tamron 70-300mm, a Tamron 90mm Macro, and a Nikkor 14-24mm.Feedback
Don't be afraid to reach out! The worst anyone can do is say no. You never know what kind of opportunities you might find!
