Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Dillard Mill State Park in Missouri.

Time

I took this during a summer shoot it was right before sunset.

Lighting

I loved how the lighting hit the rocks and the water during that day.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon Mark 3, using a tripod and a super wide angle lens.

Inspiration

Actually I was trying to kill some time as I was wanting to get a shot of the mill. I loved how the water flows over the rocks, it just looks amazing.

Editing

This is a HDR photo, so it is 7 shots merged to one. Other than normal processing what you see is what you get.

In my camera bag

It depends on what the subject is, I try not to carry a lot with me, I don't like all the weight. If its a landscape such as this one my full frame canon camera, with a super wide angle lens, with a filter and remote and a good tripod.

Feedback

The best advice, I can give is if your waiting for a particular shot, don't just stand there and wait for it. You know about what time you want to shoot, go around and shoot other things, sometimes those are the ones that turn out the best.
