Location
The picture was taken on Mount Pilatus, Switzerland. About a 15min walk away from the summit. It was a very stormy and cloudy night. In fact I only get up and walked to "my spot" because I didn't want to admit to myself, that the weather is to bad for taking a milkyway-picture. Well... for taking anykind of picture. And then there it was after about 1 hour of waiting... this little moment of about 5-10 minutes, nearly without clouds in direction of the milkyway.Time
It was not long after midnight and I've unfortunately woken up some wild alpine ibex. The group has slept near the little path where I had to go on the way to my spot. Well... after they came to me to have a look what I'm doing here and remarking, that there is no danger, they strolled back to their sleeping-place.Lighting
Well... no... best place to be is a place without light/light pollution. Not easy to find here in Switzerland :-(Equipment
I used my Nikon D810 with Nikkor 14-24mm 1:2,8G ED-Lens, a Sirui-Tripod and a noname remote control ;-) Plus some warm clothes and something to drink.Inspiration
I just wanted to take a milkyway-picture. I love the stars and my dream is, once to take a really good milkyway-picture.Editing
Some Lightroom and a little Photoshop (gradation(?)curves on the milkyway mostly... sorry, don't know how it's called in english Photoshop). In my camera bag
The D810 and my 50mm-lens or the 24-70mm lens.Feedback
Be stupid enough to stay awake the whole night for perhaps nothing ;-( Well and some patience, food, drink,... :-D
