Hidden in the Johnston Canyon of the Banff Alberta National Park, is a secret little get away. Tucked under the over hang of the canyon wall is place to get away from the crowds of the trail, and really enjoy the nature in it's true form.

Location
This was taken along the Johnston Canyon area of Banff National Park Alberta Canada.Time
This was taken during the afternoon on a cloudy day in the Spring.Lighting
The lighting for this was day was pretty flat. But when photographing waterfalls I find this great because of the contrast you can get in post.Equipment
I used for this photo, a Sony A72 with my handy Zeiss 21mm. I also had my fantastic, most versatile tripod, my Leo 3 legged thing.Inspiration
I had seen posts of this spot in photos before but was never able to find its location. I have visited 3 or 4 times before I finally found it. You really have to leave the comfort of the elevated paths to get down here, but its worth it.Editing
Yes this an HDR done with 3 exposures done in post. On top of that just some colour blending and contrast. Because I shoot everything on RAW there is always sharpening and colour correcting. In my camera bag
I always have some sort of wide angle, telephoto (70-200), and a 50mm. They pretty much cover all my bases.Feedback
Just get out there, research a little before going to location. Have a concept in mind before composing a shot.
