I love this shot, there's just so much to see. Awesome reflection, amazing color and i love that the light follows the graffiti through several of it's curves. I see what you mean by it showing the visualization in the art.

Location
This photo was taken in some underpass tunnel in San Diego, California. The tunnel was slightly flooded from recent rain and covered in years of graffiti.Time
This was shot late at night so that my light painting ideas would take full effect.Lighting
As an artist i wanted to do some light painting here that highlighted the wall art graffiti in a unique and purposeful way. There are 3 light sources here. A small lantern in front of the model hitting the wall. 2 "lightsaber" lights sticks in red and purple that are walked into the shot from the left then circled around the model. And a typical flashlight that traces the art on the wall. In this shot are 3 people: the model standing still as possible, a woman walking the red and purple lights sticks into the shot, then standing in front of the model doing arm circles, and ME against the wall with a wireless trigger in one hand and flashlight in another trying not to slip in the mud tracing the art on the wall.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon 70D, aperture f/6, ISO 250, shutter in bulb mode at 27sec, canon 10-18 is stm wide lens at 15mm. I used my Manfrotto 190 GO! tripod in a very low setup to benefit from the water reflection. And i used a wireless transmitter to trigger the shutter and hold it in bulb mode for the 27 sec.Inspiration
I always love when a photo has a purpose and tells a story. The life of a graffiti artist is sometimes one that is difficult in dark. The art of graffiti however can brighten oneself and illuminate the darkness. This is often true for any type of art. For me this is true in photography.Editing
Not too much post processing here. Some exposure adjustments, lights and darks. Slight color saturation boost. A slight skew to straiten the walls, same technique as architectural photos. And a slight sharpen. Overall, its very cllose to the original. In my camera bag
I enjoy a good variety of photography and therefore a good variety of equipment. My camera is a Canon 70D. Its amazing. The tilt-touch screen, the wifi, the video features, and the quality make it a great all-around camera. I have 5 lenses, from macro to wide to telephoto. Various lights and modifiers for models, product, etc. ND filters are often a must when shooting outside so i have a variety of those. I got in the drone game and got myself a DJI Phantom 3. Its a new genre full of amazing opportunity. I can shoot the same place a million times but when I use the drone its like a fresh location for me. I do alot of long exposure shots so wireless triggers are a must. The yongnuos i have work perfectly with the flashes. And as an avid scuba diver i have a gopro for underwater shots, soon ill be looking into taking my primary gear below the waves with me. I have a small shoulder bag from city or hiking. And i have a carry-on sized bag that fits almost all my gear inlcuding the drone. For a full list of gear see my blog on my site.Feedback
Understanding how your camera functions with the physics of light is helpful here. Knowing the your sensor is made up of photosites, each gathering information of the light entering the camera. How that light translates from a long exposure. And while luck plays a good factor in photography often its also great to sometimes have a good idea of what youre trying to accomplish. Having a goal or messgae youre trying to convey and finding the visual way to communicate it.
