Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at home. I was passing my kids’ bathroom and saw him playing with his toy shaving kit. I grabbed my camera and took the shot.

Time

This was in the evening, after my son had taken his shower. He was still wrapped in the towel he used to dry himself, and was entertaining himself with his toy shaving kit.

Lighting

All lighting was from the bathroom light.

Equipment

This was taken with the Fuji XT-1, and Fuji XF 23mm f/1.4 lens. Hand-held. No additional lighting/flash.

Inspiration

Kids have a wonderful imagination. Something we, as adults, don’t exercise much. I wanted to capture

Editing

Just a bit of tweaking for highlights, exposure, and a B&W conversion.

In my camera bag

I always have my Ona Brixton camera back. Always with me are my Fuji XT-3 with the 56mm f/1.2 lens, as well as my Fuji XH-1 with the 23mm f/1.4 lens. If I’m headed somewhere where I think I might need a little extra reach, I toss in my Fuji 50-140mm f/2.8 telephoto.
