As I was leaving the Melbourne Zoo, I walked past the often-shy snow leopard enclosure only to see her pop her head out from her bed and come sprinting down to the base of her enclosure to greet me. For once it was just her and me without the intimidation of loud hordes of tourists. She seemed at peace, and happy to have company. She then posed for her portrait, gave good conversation and ran back to bed before the arrival of bellowing tourists.
