Location
This photo was taken on the entrance to the Tramandaí Lagoon on Tramandaí beach, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.Time
Sunset hour. About 20 minutes after the sun had gone bellow the horizon.Lighting
The low light hour allowed me to use a long exposure to get the effect of movement on the clouds, and gave the smooth look on the water.Equipment
I used a Canon 60D with a kit lens (yes it works some times), 18-135 mm EF-S, a Me-Foto travelmate tripod (lightweight and small). No filters.Inspiration
I love the sunset hour, and this place is my favorite location for the quietness.Editing
Post processing was only a little check on luminance and a small crop, all done on Adobe lightroom. There is no color enhancement or other changes. In my camera bag
In my bag I always have a Canon 60D body with either the 18-135mm or a Sigma 10-20mm fitted. Then I will have a 50 mm F 1.8, and a 24 mm F 2.8. Sometimes I carry a Sony alpha 350 DSLR with a 75-300 mm for Birds or other long distance shots.Feedback
If you go anywhere to photograph the sunset, do not leave right away. Wait a few minutes after the sun goes down and you will be surprised by the changes in the sky. Be patient.
