Oh, that's probably because I didn't write much about the inspiration! It's inspired by the song Miasmal Smoke and the Yellow-Bellied Freaks by Wintersleep. There's a few lines about a girl who "donated her eyes/to feel life as she imagined it" which I thought was very evocative. It's a great song!
