Location
The Photo was taken on the boarder of South Africa and Botswana on my photographic visit to the Kalahari National Park. I have not seen the birds during the 2 weeks trip and the morning I left they were sitting on the main road. I drove 120km/h past them. I stopped a way from them to get my equipment out and drove back to were they were sitting. I shot them handheld from my car window not to frighten them away coz the other photographers might wanted to shoot them as well. It was a wonderful go away gift from the Kalahari to see them when i left.Time
It was in the morning about 9am.Lighting
The light was still early morning light but very bright coz its in the Kalahari and the sun rise at 4:30am in the summer in South Africa.Equipment
I used a Canon 7D Mark2 with a 100 - 400mm Canon lens and I might have used the 1.4 converter because they where not close for the photos. The ISO was quite high at 1200 coz I don't have a fast lens and need to shoot birds that can do any movement at any time and it needs to fast....I shoot it in RAW and fixed all the noise in Photoshop when i done the editing!Inspiration
The sight of the birds was the inspiration and it was my good buy gift from the Kalahari.Editing
I Use Photoshop for post-processing.In my camera bag
