Location
The photo was taken in my home town Key West Florida at the Historic Seaport.Time
Late afternoon early evening when the fishing boats were returning with the days catch. Cleaning the fish and feeding the birds the scraps sent them into a feeding frenzy.Lighting
Just got lucky!Equipment
I don't remember what camera I used I own two. However, it was more t hen likely a Canon T6i mounted Canon 18-135mm stm that's my walk around lens on that body. Handheld no tripod.Inspiration
I love pelicans! Not much else to say! The shot would have been taken mid winter as for that is when the migration and when most of them are here.Editing
Just cropped!In my camera bag
That depends where I'm going. However, I own two body's a Canon t6i and a 7D mark ii. Walk around on the t6i is t he 18-135mm stm, on the 7D a Canon 17-50mm L. Yet, I also own the Canon 10-18mm stm that I love using for landscape. Canon 50mm 1.8 fixed, Canon 70-200mm and a Sigma 150-500mm booth I use for bird and wildlife shots. Also own a list of other gear.Feedback
For birds I use a fast shutter, depending on the lens and if I hand holding above 100, f-stop around 9 pushing my ISO a little. Really not a pro just like to play with my toys!
