Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home...More precisely in the kitchen. ;)

Time

I made this photo on the end of day, after a day of work .

Lighting

I used an external flash, beneath the face, in order to use the shadows , and took advantage of the light coming through the window that was over my head, this illuminated the smoke of dry ice in hot water .

Equipment

I used a Canon 5D mark 2 and the Canon EF 50mm f / 1.8 lens II , tripod and old manual external flash.

Inspiration

Already for several times I used dry ice in photographs, but never in portrait, was a new idea to me.

Editing

The color photo , went to black and white , increased the contrast and clarity , and increasing a bit the detail of the eyes beard and hair.

In my camera bag

Canon 5d Mark II , Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Lens, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, tripod , and flash.
