Location
I took this photo wandering the marsh grasses near my home.Time
It was mid afternoon walking through the grasses when I spotted what appeared to be an odd shaped leaf. I am enamored with bugs, so naturally I started studying him through my camera.Lighting
Midday full sun.Equipment
This was one of my very first shots, it was taken on my Samsung 3.Inspiration
I loved the way he was so symmetrical. Also he looked to be floating next to his host plant, seemed to be so surreal yet natural.Editing
Just slight contrasting. In my camera bag
Nowadays I carry my Lumix zs-40, 4 extra batteries, and lens cleaner. I am always in the deep woods or water and cannot carry much gear without getting weighed down.Feedback
Always be acutely aware of your surroundings, you never know what you could be walking over or by. Even if you live in the concrete jungles of the world, there are natural things of beauty and interest everywhere. Keep your eyes open ;)
