Apart from the community, seafarers stay and work in one part of the world called ocean or sea as transporters. To facilitate transporting the merchandise around the world, ship has to be maintained in good and efficient condition. So this is a painting job being done by a seafarer while ship was sailing in mid ocean. Daily maintenance involves hard works such as chipping, scaling, cleaning and painting, etc. Photo was taken from the ship bridge wing.

Amazing ! I love the colors, the contrast between the red and the blue. In addition, I love the movement of the water, in contrast with the stasis of the boat. The shadow creates a depth in the composition. Nice job !

Location
I took this photo from the bridge wing which is uppermost deck of the ship. I worked as a Chief Officer of a chemical tanker ship in 2014 and I used to bring my camera on the bridge while at sea to take spontaneous moments around the ship and at sea. The ship was sailing in Gulf of Mexico near United States of America and I was on navigation duty on the bridge deck when I saw this seafarer painting the ship hand rail.Time
It actually was afternoon about 4:30 pm. The ship used to cross the ocean and travel around the world and I honestly admit that I forgot to adjust the time in my Camera settings.Lighting
The sun was on low altitude which was creating beautiful shadows of a seafarer and ship railings against the red deck.Equipment
Nikon D700 + Nikkor 24-70mmInspiration
Actually, it was a spontaneous moment. When I noticed this seafarer’s painting job on the ship red deck and the beautiful whirling blue sea, I couldn’t resist not taking this spontaneous moment. Luckily, the sun was on low altitude and the sun lighting was very good enough to see the beautiful shadow of the seafarer. I took three or four photos until I got this final shot. I love this photo very much because it was a part of my life and it involves the hard work of seafarers at sea that everybody does not know.Editing
I just did minimal post-processing of this photo like color and contrast adjustments to my Raw file in Adobe Light Room.In my camera bag
Now, I've upgraded my camera to Nikon D750. I always carry Nikon D750, Nikkor 16-35 mm and Sigma 24-70 mm so that I could be able to take any outdoor shots.Feedback
Always look for spontaneous moments which is happening around you, think different and try to experiment new angle of view.
