Near the end of the summer, some friends and I decided to go for a hike to this arch. We drove over an hour to get to the hiking trail, and we hiked 8km to this beautiful sea arch, and then had to hike 8km back.

Location
This photo was taken on the East Coast hiking trail in Newfoundland Canada between Port Kirwan and Aquaforte River. The Arch is named Berry Head Arch and is located about 8km from the Port Kirwan side of the trail.Time
This was my first hike on the East Coast Trail. I left my house 9am and got to the trail around 10am. Our goal wasn't to walk the entire 18km trail but just to the Sea Arch and then back. We reached the Arch around 2pm and stopped to take pictures and eat lunch. This is when I took this shot.Lighting
There isn't really anything exciting about the lighting in this photo. I was only getting into photography at the time and didn't know a whole lot. The sky was overcast which led to some grey sky in the background and even light over the arch. I was lucky I didn't have any hard shadows.Equipment
The equipment I used was a Nikon D3200 with a 18-55mm zoon lens.Inspiration
The sheer beauty of the arch inspired me. I love landscape and nature and it amazes me what nature can create, when I new this arch exsisted I knew I had to go take a pictureEditing
Since this photo was taken when I first got into photography there isn't much post-processing in this photo. I mostly just increased the clarity and vibrance and that was about it.In my camera bag
I usually have all my lenses in my bag. My Nikon 18-55mm and 55-200mm zoom, Sigma 10-20mm, and my Nikon 50mm prime lens. Along with my camera body, flashlight, and my filters. I have 2 variable ND filters, and a polarizer for my zoom lenses.Feedback
If you're walking a hiking trail, make sure you have a comfortable camera bag that can fit all your gear along with food and water. Wake up early to get a good head start. Last thing you want is to be rushing to take photos or skipping spots because you have to be back before it gets too dark. Bring all your gear with you, you never know when a situation might pop up that you wish you had just brought that other lens.
