Is was a challenging shot mainly due to the distance i had to drive camping out in freezing late december weather and catching the flu!
Well worth the effort though.

This shot is of the lower half of the largest waterfalls in wales UK (Pistyll Rhaeadr,Wales).Time
Early morning about an hour after sunriseLighting
it was difficult! as the waterfall was based in a valley there wasnt much direct sun light on to the location.Equipment
canon 1100D, tripodInspiration
viewbug! i had seen a few shots on viewbug with long shutter speeds of waterfalls, moving water etc. As im fairly new to photography i hadnt had the opportunity to take any similar photos. So during the christmas holidays my brother and i decided to take a trip the biggest (and nearest) waterfall we could find. Not content with the photos we had taken on arrival to the site we decided to camp over and take photos first thing in the morning. It was a freezing night and it gave me the flu! but all worth while when you get shots like this one.Editing
Photoshop, slight tweaking of the levels due to poor sun light. In my camera bag
just the usual, camera, lenses, tripod, spares batteries etcFeedback
Plan before you go! we went to the location on a spur of the moment decision and didnt really plan anything. looking back now there is so much more i could have done. Also with locations like this it can get quite busy so get there early as it will be difficult to get a good shot with tourists in the way.
