I love your Bulldog. Beautiful pup. Assuming it is a girl due to streamlined body. I have always had a bullie or two as far back as I can remember. I have a 6 month female English Bulldog & a 3 yr old miniture Bulldog. They are both great and have wonderful personalities. A Mini Bulldog is a mix between a French & English. He is not so mini, he is 53lbs of solid muscle. Best wishes with you pup.

Location
It was taken in the lounge of my friend who owns Frankie the bulldog so that he would feel more relaxed, thats the dog not my friend!Time
It was taken early afternoon so there was some natural light in the roomLighting
I used an inexpensive two continuous lighting set up as wasnt sure how a dog would react to camera flash or studio lighting. I also used a sheet of shiny black card for the dog to sit on as I particularly wanted a reflection in the shotEquipment
Canon 5D mark 3 with 24-105mm lens, plus a pop up backgroundInspiration
I had wanted to take a dog portrait for a while and just thought a bulldog would make a really interesting subjectEditing
Some of the white edges of my pop up background were in the shot so I cloned those out also the dog had shed some hairs onto the shiny card so again cloned those out and generally made the background darker where light had spilled onto itIn my camera bag
Canon 5D mark 3, Canon 24-105mm F/4 L as it is so versatile , Canon 85mm 1.8 which I am starting to use more and more and loving, Canon 17-40mm F/4 L for landscapes and Canon 70-300mm F/4 L for action shotsFeedback
Try and have an idea of the sort of shot you want, Frankie was very laid back but most dogs are more lively, best not to have too many people and distractions about, you may only have a short period of time to get the shot before the dog gets restless so you need to get your lighting set up as close to what you want beforehand. Treats are also an essential for good behaviour! Also a squeaky toy to get the dog looking in the right ditection can be useful
