Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken during my family vacation at the baltic sea in Markgrafenheide, Germany.

Time

We've rent a small house directly at the beach. Perfect for spontaneous photosession based on the current weather situations. So, the weather was nice, the sun started to burn that horizon. Awesome scene. It was at about 8pm when i started to shoot.

Lighting

Nothing special here. Taked about 3 - 4 different shots with different exposure to merge the image to a HDR.

Equipment

This was shot on my Canon 6D, with a Tokina 11-16mm (shot at 16mm). Used my manfrotto tripod and my smartphone as a remote trigger.

Inspiration

I was inspired by this awesome natural scenes. I'm in love with the baltic sea. Probably because i'm livin' not far away... ;-)

Editing

Of course i did postprocessing. Cause this image was shot at sunset i've made 3 - 4 shots with different exposure and put them later together to this hdr image.

In my camera bag

Mostly, i'm taking just my camera and my 50mm Sigma ART lens with me. But for landscape shots there are some ND filters, my tripod, and of course my 11-16mm Tokina lens.

Feedback

Just go out and shoot. You'll get better every time you take your next image.
