Great capture Brian! Perfect depth of field and sharp at the eye. I like the way the sharpness fades away in the direction of the wing. Compliments!

Behind The Lens

Location

Canadian Raptor Conservency.

Time

Late afternoon

Lighting

It was overcast with a steady rain. There were 5 photographers as oart of the raptors in flight workshop. When the rain came, they all left. Only myself and one other photographer remained & both captured some incredible images. There are a couple more sweet shots in the rain on my page.

Equipment

Canon 1d mark IV 400mm IS II

Inspiration

The rain was the inspiration. I loved the light & the way the bird used his wings to shield himself

Editing

Yes of course. Minor post processing in ask e bridge. There is a couple more of this shot on my page. One in B&W & one I cloned out the jesses for a more natural look.

In my camera bag

Canon . 1d Mark IV 5d Mark IV 400 mm 70-200 mm 12-35 wide constant 2.8

Feedback

Wild life Photography is like fishing. It Requires a lot of patience.
