Location
I took this photo in Milan, very near my home town.Time
It was 40 minutes before the sunset. Actually, I was waiting for the lights of the buliding to turn on ready to shoot with my tripod when I was approached by the security and I was said I could not stay there anymore...Fortunately I'd already shot some pictures and I got my image!Lighting
Just natural light here. The coverage of the square worked as a huge softbox though.Equipment
I shot this picture back in 2013 with my 5D Mark II and a 24-105 mm lens, a Benro tripod and a remote control.Inspiration
This is a new building in Milan and it was the first time I saw it. I just arrived there and could not go away without taking a picture.Editing
Yes, I re-processed this image with my new workflow in 2015. I used a custom preset in Lightroom (low contrast and high vibrance), then I corrected the symmetry to make it look perfect (I didn't use a tilt-shift lens). In Photoshop I applyed a LUT to simulate an analog film by Fuji.In my camera bag
I always carry with me my a7S, a 24-70 mm lens, a tripod and an eMotimo TB3 for timelapses.Feedback
Just bring your camera with you when visitng new places and find great angles from where to shoot!
