Behind The Lens

Location

This is the indoor pool at La Mamounia, Marrakech.

Time

It was in the morning.

Lighting

On the right side of the pool there is a large window which create a soft and nice lighting effect.

Equipment

I shot this picture handheld with my Sony a7S and a 16-35 mm lens.

Inspiration

I love this place and this pool in particular. I saw many pictures of it but I wanted to do something different. So I used the arch to frame the composition with an ultrawide angle lens.

Editing

I corrected the perspective and color graded the shot in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I usually take my Sony a7S with a 16-35 mm Zeiss lens and a Sony RX10 III, a tripod and a couple of ND filters.
