UNDER THE BRIDGE Wanting to have more black and white (B&W) photos in my gallery and looking for strong lines to accentuate the dramatic feel of B&W all came together as I walked along the New Mexico, San Francisco River which runs under the Alma Bridge. Looking up all one could see of the bridge was its black steel structure reaching across the gorge. Because the bridge begins over your head and anchors into the distant cliff one is provided with a feel of both strength and beauty of line. Editing this bridge photo resulted in much experimentation, before changing the color photo to B&W, a post-production treatment of High Dynamic Range (HDR) was applied to enhance and outline the bridge.
