Behind The Lens

Location

The photograph was taken on West Wittering beach, Sussex, UK.

Time

The image was at sunset during August and the sky lit up in the glorious colours and tried to wait for the cloud coming in from the left to be fully present.

Lighting

The sky lit up and created a great reflection of colours on the wet sand as the tide was on its way out.

Equipment

Handheld with Canon 5D MKIII and 24-105mm lens (no filters).

Inspiration

Had just enjoyed an evening meal with my family and friends and we went for a walk down the beach. I had my camera just in case and was lucky to enjoy the incredible sunset. Not just the colours and reflections but the interesting cloud shape and the silhouette people and object inspired me to take the shot.

Editing

The basic lightroom post processing was done

In my camera bag

Canon 5D MKIV with a range of lenses and filters for landscape and coastal photography and a 100-400mm lens if there is any interesting nature, and, a Tripod
