Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a coffee shop in my town called the "Ceder Rabbit".

Time

Although I cannot remember the exact time and day, this was around just getting dark during a karaoke night at the coffee shop.

Lighting

The lighting was just the florescent light from the coffee shop, nothing really special. I just really liked the way the light hit the guitar.

Equipment

I used my T3 Rebel Canon with a florescent lens filter on a standard 18-55mm lens. I didn't use anything super special to get the angle. I just crouched down and took a few different angle shots and picked the one I liked the best.

Inspiration

We all have a huge connection with music, whether we just appreciate it or we create it. Music is something that we can all relate too and share, and I wanted something to convey that feeling.

Editing

Post processing was nothing special. I corrected some exposure and contrast and made it monochrome to get to mood that I wanted.

In my camera bag

I always have my T6 Canon Rebel with my wide angle and zoom lens with filters to fit both lens sizes. I try to keep extra SD cards on hand, but sometimes I forget. My bag is usually always packed and ready to go at any moment.

Feedback

Honestly, I did nothing special to make this picture what it is and I took it with what can be considered an out of date camera. I didn't use special lighting or a tripod. I set my angle with my body and took a photo of what I had in front of me. Photography is an art, but sometimes the art is already in front of you, you just have to notice it. Don't be afraid to play with what you have and what is right in front of you and take the same picture from different angles. Sometimes it'll be one of the best pictures you've ever taken.
