Location
My daughter and I decided to have a little bonfire. I like to practice my night photography and we listen to the night sounds in the woods of Northern Minnesota.Time
It was late evening...probably around 10 pmLighting
The lighting was provided by her cellphone!Equipment
Canon t3i with 18-55mm lens on the tripod. I used the 2-second timer and didn't even have to tell her to sit still for 20 seconds--the cell phone keeps her mesmerized.Inspiration
The desire to learn about and take better photos in low light.Editing
I used lightroom to lighten it up a little more and reduce some of the noise. In my camera bag
I usually carry my newer Canon t6i body, extra battery and charger, lens cleaning kit, external flash, Tamron 70-200 lens, tripod, and pocket notebook. I have the rest of my gear in a big tool bag and put that in the car when we go exploring.Feedback
Always have a tripod for low light. Be patient and take a lot of shots. Don't let your subject know what you are doing. ;)
