Early afternoonLighting
Just natural light coming through the windows, very nice setup for the use of natural light at this airport.Equipment
5D Mark III with 24-70mm f/4, handheldInspiration
The symmetry of the place was perfect for an architectural shotEditing
Took 5 exposures, 1 stop apart each. Used Photomatix Pro to blend them in (HDR), manually removed the ghostings from people moving. In my camera bag
At the time of this capture, all I had in the bag was the 5D Mark III, the 24-70mm, the 85mm 1.8 and a 430EX II flash.Feedback
The most important factor here is perfect symmetry, the slightest de-centering or angle will ruin the shot. Took me quite a few tries to get it right without a tripod (I don't think a tripod would be allowed in that area of the airport). Image stabilization is a must on this case because I needed 5 exposures. I also had to wait a few minutes until no people were in my way. Patience is the key here.
