Location
This photo was taken on my front porch.Time
This photo was taken on a summer afternoon.Lighting
No special lighting. The slant of the sun seemed just right.Equipment
My Nikon D7100 and my 18-300mm lens.Inspiration
I was intrigued by the rather perfect shape of the onion, its warm color and its interesting “tuft” of hair that seemed to be cared for and curled just so.Editing
Minimal post-processing. The shot seemed to be fine as it was. Simple and true.In my camera bag
My Nikon D7100 and 18-300mm lens are all I really need since my photos are usually of everyday things I just happen upon.Feedback
I enjoy finding beauty in the everyday things around me. With motherhood and a busy schedule I find it difficult to give photography the time and attention I would like. Fortunately, I understand the unassuming beauty of a sweet onion in the afternoon sun against a stone porch.
