Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in Grand Teton National Park. We stopped at a picnic area and this was our view. Grand Teton is a beautiful and under visited National Park. I would highly recommend visiting if you are at Yellowstone.

Time

I took this around 2 in the afternoon.

Lighting

It was a mostly clear day with great natural light.

Equipment

I used a Canon T3i and a EFS 18 to 55mm lens to capture this shot with an f10.0 at ISO 100 and 1/250 shutter speed.

Inspiration

The fence along this field with the Teton'so in he background caught my eye and had me snapping shots prior to our picnic.

Editing

This shot had no post processing, it is exactly as shot.

In my camera bag

All Canon equipment including my T3i, and the following lenses. An 18-55mm, a 55-250mm, a 100-400 mm , a 2x extender and a recent addition of a 24-105mm wide angle lens. I always carry extra batteries and plenty of memory cards.

Feedback

Get out and shoot as much as possible. Always look for a different angle or prospective that will make a shot your own. Visit your local State Parks and as many National Parksecurity as you can. We have a very beautiful country, so just get out and explore as much as you can and always have a camera ready for that next great shot.
