Grand Jury Winner

"A beautiful shot and a worthy Grand Jury Winner of the Landscape Painting Photo Contest. It’s a great composition with a lot of depth leading your eye further into the forest. I also love how the light scatters through the fog, silhouetting the trees into the distance giving this shot a truly painterly feel about it." - Mark Gee

Runner Up

"It’s alway hard selecting the runner ups, as all these photos could really be winners. This image looks like it could have come straight out of Middle Earth in The Lord of the Rings. The mirror like reflection works really well with the composition, and the bridge and it’s reflection looks like a portal into another world. The golden colors of the foliage really give this photo a lovely color palette and adds to the painterly feel and surrealness of the shot." - Mark Gee

Runner Up

"A combination of a lovely balanced image shot during the golden hour and a mirror like reflection really makes this photo another worthy runner up. The wispy cirrus clouds complements the softness of the row of trees on the left of the river bank, and the golden fall colors also helps to give this photograph that painterly feel as the river bank on either side leads your eye into the composition of the image." - Mark Gee

Runner Up

"As the final runner up of this competition, I really love the soft light and shadow play of this photo - it’s as though the rolling hills of the landscape has been painted by light. The leading lines drives your eye through the composition making you stop at places of interest within the photo on the way, and the green and warm tones compliment each other giving the shot a pleasing balance of color." - Mark Gee
