This photo was taken on the outskirts of Ljubljana (Slovenia) at 800 meters above sea level.

Time

December 31, 2011, 4:48:02 PM. Yes, it is old now.

Lighting

I was waiting for the last 5 minutes before the sundown. Wanted the blues to stand out.

Equipment

Only Nikon D300 with Tokina AT-X 80-400 / F:4.5-5.6 (with ND filter would be better)

Inspiration

I'm always inspired by nature (human nature too!), but on that day I was inspired by New Year.

Editing

Yes just a touch of saturation and contrast corrections (trying to be realistic as much as possible). Usually I play with camera settings before.
