Location
This photo was taken at Coldwater Lake, WA. I am a beginning photographer and am working towards making a side business out of my passion.Time
This is one of my favorite pictures that I have taken. It was a day to just get away and have some fun. This photo was taken on November 20, 2013 at 1:05:13 PMLighting
The lighting is all natural lighting. Probably not the best time of day to take the picture due to being so close to noon but the area where it is located is at the base of Mount St. Helens and creates a natural shadow.Equipment
This photo was shot using a Canon Rebel T5i, with a EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens and a tripod.Inspiration
I was looking for a place that was calm and serene. The gentle ripples in the water and the quiet in the area made it the perfect place for me to have fun and enjoy nature.Editing
I usually try to keep my post processing simple. I try not to take away from the natural beauty of the area that I am at. Although for this photo I did bring out the blues, yellows, and greens a bit more than normal along with a linear contrasting. In my camera bag
Of course I always have my Canon Rebel T5i and EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. I also always have my EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM zoom lens, and EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens. I also always bring my tripod where ever I go because who knows when your going to need it or even just want to use it. I also have a remote shutter release to get those shots that Need to be still and I don't want to accidentally bump and mess up my shot.Feedback
I would say that the later in the day the more wind you are going to get especially in the mountain ranges, so try to come earlier in the day to help minimize the amount of wind.
