Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo at the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in Sacramento. It is considered to be an outdoor museum because of all the California history associated with it. The gardens throughout are some of the most beautiful in the State.Time

It had been raining in the early morning, so the sky's were all overcast and dark, which helped give me the dark background.Equipment
I used my Canon T3i, with it's standard 18-55 mm lens. No flash or tripod.Inspiration
I loved the way the top flower was "feeding" the lower flower drops of water.Editing
I just turned it B/W and adjusted the brightness/contrast to eliminate as much background as possible. In my camera bag
The T3i and it's standard lens, as well as a Canon 75-300 lens, and a Tamron 11-18 mm wide angle lens. I have several memory cards of different sizes, an extra battery pack, miniature tripod, user guide for my camera and a cleaning kit.Feedback
If you can afford a good macro lens, that would be the way to go, someday I hope to have one. I don't like shooting flowers with a tripod, sometimes they are planted in a garden with other flowers, which makes it difficult to set up a tripod without damaging other plants. If you have a steady hand, do it freehand!
