Behind The Lens

Location

This simple flower was taken at Land Between the Lakes in Cadiz, KY

Time

This was taken in the early morning on a walk I took.

Lighting

It was an overcast day which is great for lighting. I didn't need a flash.

Equipment

This was shot with an Olympus OMD-EM5 and 12-40 mm lens and no flash. However, I did use a tripod.

Inspiration

I enjoy trying to better my macro photography as I'm new to this type of photography. I saw these simple and elegant flowers this one flower just stood out. I had to take this shot.

Editing

I increased the clarity and contrast a little bit.

In my camera bag

I carry alot or at least I think is a lot. I have two Olympus OMD EM5's and now I have the Mark II. I have a flash, 60mm macro, 7-14mm, 12-40mm and 75 - 300mm along with filters, remote, extra batteries.

Feedback

I am a novice photographer, so I don't feel I can give advice. I look for simple beauty first and then I look to see what details I think I can highlight well.
