Early afternoon.Lighting
Actually my shot was shaded by a porch from the afternoon sun.Equipment
I used Nikon D50 camera on auto setting, and no flash.Inspiration
I saw the butterfly sitting on the flower, it was incredibly beautiful and vibrantly colored. I ran back inside for my camera, all the while praying the butterfly would still be there.Editing
I only did a little contrast correction and cropping on the image. It didn't need anything else.In my camera bag
I currently carry a Nikon D3100, with a short lens attached, I have a medium and long lens. I have extra battery, cleaning and syncing notions and special Star effect filters.Feedback
Please be patient, and keep your eyes open to see them, they can be shy.
