Location
This was taken in one of the rooms of Rachelle's old house, with the window behind her.Time
It was late morning/early afternoon.Lighting
Just simple backlighting from the window and a medium white reflector in my hand at the front.Equipment
It was a Nikon D800 and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro at 70mm, ƒ/2.8, 1/250s at ISO 800.Inspiration
Hard to remember now as it is quite an old photo. I generally like to take portraits of the face, so it was likely the convergence of the light and the model Rachelle's pose.Editing
Not much in terms of the basics (exposure etc) but it was converted to black and white in Silver Effex Pro 2.In my camera bag
I used to carry three bags of stuff in the past. Now on the rare occasions when I have time to take photos I just carry my camera with a single lens, spare battery, a couple of SD cards and a reflector.Feedback
Concentrate on the eyes and what the light is doing. I know it sounds very simple but it is very easy to get caught up with other things and forget what is most important.
