Thank You, and yes it is a composite of 2 images, just to show people on what they miss out on due to light pollution.

2 images to be fair, but s**t i uploaded the image that is not fully finished, check the light posts on the bridge, I do have the finished one, so the stars were taken in Torteval Guernsey- a place with least light pollution I have seen so far, 24 sec exposure, the other one was taken just as sun was setting with the stock 18-55mm lens with a little additionof ND 10 filtre in London accros the River Thames pointing towards the parliament house. The Milky Way is not Geographically corect but still I wanted to create a dream of more magical nights, excuse me for that.Time
first one just before midnight - the one with stars, the next one I think was around 5 pm with 120sec exposureLighting
photo of stars, if you want to see milky way make sure there is no moon adding light, the next one with nd filter - just experiment with your camera settings, low iso and f top plus long exposures, but do not do that at night time.Equipment
Canon 600d and Rokinon 14mm f 2.8mm lens for stars and 18-55mm lens - the stockone for the parliament, plus a flimsy tripod that has been upgraded since to manfrotto and ofcourse a Hahnel giga pro III wireless remoteInspiration
my previous image i have in my hotos and seeing a post of how would the world look like without light pollution but that post had alost no colours, and sun with clouds and stars plus the ozone layerproduces some amazing lightsEditing
yes, colour correction in lightroom for both images, light level adjutments for th parliament and deleting the sky for it plus merging them both together in photoshop, for mst details pm me, too much to writeIn my camera bag
canon 600d, rokinon 14mm f2.8 lens, 18-55mm lens, 50mm f 1.8 lens filters (polarized, infrared, ND, B&W, and a few others that i don't normally use) Hahnel Giga T pro III wireless remote, spare batteries for it, a small screwdriver, 2 torches one from my pushbike and the other with a g-string head strap, sometimes GoPro Hero 3 for timelapses and every so often I drag my Blade 350 qx quadcopter with me, and I have a Manfrotto tripod the one that can do splitsFeedback
Imagie, think, capture, edit and if you don't succeed try again. P.S. sorry if there are any mistakes, I have been enjoying some Belgian beer. I have uploaded the finished image here: http://www.viewbug.com/photo/42338901 Sorry i forget things sometimes, and no I am not old, I have had more than 15 concussions riding BMX. I am happy to answer any questions, have fun.
