Behind The Lens

Location

A local farm that still tries to uphold the tradition of tilling the earth with a horse and plow year after year.

Time

Late morning.

Lighting

The skies were clear and the sun was brilliant!

Equipment

Canon 7D paired with a Canon Ef 70-200 II. I also used a remote shutter and a Vanguard tripod.

Inspiration

This is a tradition that I often witnessed as a child growing up in the area but it wasn't until last year that I actually made the farmer' acquaintance. Such a treat.

Editing

Pretty sure that I did...

In my camera bag

I have a couple of kits that are pretty well rounded. Included with this one was a 60mm macro, a wide telephoto, and the 70-200 telephoto previously mentioned. It's my "anything goes" kit. If I don't know what I'll be shooting, or if I feel like going on an adventure, this is the kit I'll usially grab.

Feedback

Take the time to get to know people. They all have remarkable stories and you'll often come across a place, an event, or an idividual that has a story that you can attempt to capture a fraction of.
