This image was taken at Hostal Vincci La Rábida, in Sevilla, in a collaboration with a team of designers, make-up and hair artists. Fashion designer Daniel Lora Montero created this fantasy dress and designer Pablo Lanzarote was on charge of styling.Time
Since we were using this traditional andalusian patio in our shooting, I waited till noon so the sun was on top. This particular image was taken at 3 pm.Lighting
I usually don´t like edgy shadows so this time I set both flashes pretty close on full power, maybe 2 feet from each other, with two 60cm softboxes. Although I tend to shoot with a 1/125 shutter speed when I work with flashes, this time I set 1/60 in order to get more detail over the background.Equipment
Taken with my old Canon EOS 50D and Canon EF-S17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM at 24mm. The settings were 1/60, f7.1 and ISO 100. I used my Elinchrom D-Lite4 kit to light.Inspiration
The designer was looking for a doll look so I thought that the giant table was perfect. Shooting from a low position helped to get that feeling as well.Editing
The image was processed entirely on Lightroom except for a couple of items (outlets, fire extinguisher) which I removed on Photoshop. I created the vignetting using several gradient filters on Lightroom. In my camera bag
I'm currently working with my trusty Canon 5D Mk III plus Canon EF 35mm f1.4, 70-200mm f2.8 IS II and 50mm f1.8. My second body is my brand new Fujifilm X-T10 with Fuji 18-55mm OIS XF, which I use on events and travel photography.Feedback
Nowadays I'm not that much into fashion photography, but if there's something that I know is this: trust the team. Sharing your thoughts and doubts with others but being confident when it comes to follow your inspiration. You need to be a leader among creators, and that's not usually easy.
