Behind The Lens

Location

This image was made at a lake in Bangalore, during the early hours of a winter morning. The sun was about to rise in few mins, when the golden light was filled across the lake and I could make this silhouette image.

Time

It was one of my favorite images, and was made just few mins before the sun rise, should be around 5:50 am or so.

Lighting

Since the sun was rising from the other side of the lake, I had to wait for the sun to rise before I could click the image of the birds over there. But I wanted to try something creative with back light that was having a beautiful golden tinge in it. Hence framed this stilt (bird) as a silhouette image.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 60D along with Sigma 150-500mm to create this image.

Inspiration

The golden back light that was lighting up the entire lake inspired me to try something creative with the birds available in the lake.

Editing

There was absolutely no post processing involved except minor sharpness and contrast corrections.

I own the Canon EOS 60D along with Sigma 150-500mm, Canon 300mm F4, Canon 100mm F/2.8L
