The positioning of your photograph to capture the near perfect symmetry is very well done. The focus through out the entire depth of field is excellent as well. Just a very well executed photograph all around.

Location
In Chicago, Illinois while going out for a walk around the city with my two children. This was back in the summer of 2014.Time
It was probably around midday.Lighting
I shot this on a somewhat cloudy day. Nothing too special I did with the lighting.Equipment
I used my Sony a7r at that time. The lens was the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8.Inspiration
I remember seeing photos of other buildings from this point of view. So, those photos influenced me to give this shot a go.Editing
Yes, the original photo was wider and not as symmetrical as the final product that I posted here on viewbug. I used Lightroom on my Mac. I believe I shot this in monochrome. It was jpeg not raw. So the main editing was the symmetry and clarity. I believe I brushed the building and the clouds to bring out more detail. In my camera bag
I usually have my canon 5dmkiii along with my sigma art 35mm f/1.4, canon 50mm f/1.2 and my canon 16-35mm f/4.Feedback
It wasn't too challenging. Look up and compose (try making it as symmetrical as possible). Take multiple shots. Envision what post processing will be like with the photos that you just took.
