This is really a wonderful image! I also love cloudy skies even more at the coast than sunshine - at least from a photographers angle...

Location
I took this photo in Marina di Pisa, Pisa,Tuscany during a pretty cold stormy sunset of this summer. A few minutes later started to rain very hard and I started to run!Time
During the sunset about 8.00 p.m. this summer.Lighting
I choosed to underexpose this shot beacuse the weather, I wanted to imprint to the people who see this shot, how was cold and sad this sunset. Nobody is present althouth it was summer.Equipment
I used my Tripod Manfrotto 055XProb, Nikon D3200, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, ND Filter 1000xInspiration
I was searching a perfect storm so I noticed that the weather was changing, and I took my car to get to the beach as soon as I could.. When I got there there was some flashing lights, but nothing special..But I took some shots.Editing
In post-processing I adjust : clarity, contrast and curve lines. Then I accentuated the rays of light, already existing, that exit from the clouds. In my camera bag
I always have my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, my nikkor 50mm f/1.4, my Nd Filters and the kit to polish my lens, plamps, a torch, Manfrotto 055XProb and now my Nikon D750.Feedback
First of all we have to study the aerea: we have to find the better, interesting location to shot. I love playing with lines to get dinamism , so I choose a location where the lines meet each others. Then we have to establish a point of interest ( here there are two point of interests : the sunset almost absent but with rays that increase the dinamism, and the lights of the restaurant and shops at the end of the picture ). Once choose the right point of view, we can’t simply shoot, but we have to serch from our bag the better lens… I think a wide-angle is better to enter inside the perspective of the photographer in this case. Adding, I used nd filter to get more interesting the shot.
