We stayed at Paravoor Village (an Island, only accessible by boat) for 1 night. I planned to take a few clicks at sunrise and set my alarm for 5am; then fast asleep around 3am, felt something biting me...woke up to see an insect by the size of 2 inches on my thigh sucking blood. I called reception at the hotel and to be fair to the guys they treated me with some first aid....but the pain didn't recede. They offered to take me to the hospital...but I wasn't going to take a 30 min boat ride from the Island just to get across to the city so that I would get medical help…not before I clicked the sunrise.
