Location
This photo was taken in April 2014 at my home. I picked a dandelion from backyard, I sprayed with water and I started to shoot. I was amazed by marvelous beauty of drops.Time
Usually I lose track of time when it comes to macro photography, this was taken around 4 P.M.Lighting
This is a result of indoor macro so I used two desk lamps for lighting. For the coloured background I used an DVD, I moved it until I got a nice gradient.Equipment
I have a Reversing Adapter Ring for macro and I use this with the kit lens 18-55 mm inverted. I put a piece of stick to block manually the diaphragm, I used the tripod and the remote control. It is a cheap equipment for macro, but with a little practice, the result may be great.Inspiration
I don't think it was really inspiration, It was more experimentation through practice.Editing
I like a light intervention of post-processing. I choose to manually sharpen some of the edges in Photoshop to pop up the details. In my camera bag
I own a Nikon D5100; 18-55 VR and 55-200 VR lenses. I have also a Nikon BR-2A 52mm Reversing Adapter Ring for macro, Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control and Bilora 1221-SE tripod. That is the equipment I usually carry around.Feedback
Patience is the key, especially with macro photography. If you shot two picture and you think it's great, it's not. Have patience to catch the better one. Have courage to try new things. Most of my macro pictures I took through experimentation. I took everything I thought it could be photographed and insisted on that subject. It is a whole new world in macro, enjoy it !
