Behind The Lens

Location

Malta Aviation Museum

Time

It was taken in the evening when the visitors of the Museum left

Lighting

Lighting was made up of one soft box placed to the left with a speed light , and another speedlight with blue gel placed in the car

Equipment

Canon 7D with a 24-105mm lens , 2 speedlights one with softbox and another with blue flash and a flash meter

Inspiration

All the Aviation museum is an inspiration in its self .. we just started the shoot and let our self be carried away in the shot , my first intention was to try to capture all the face in the mirror but obviously the mirror was to small to fit all the face and compose the image the way i liked ,, so the bright red lips got my attention and this image was created

Editing

Played with curves in photoshop and added some tints of color

In my camera bag

Canon 7D - 24-105MM , 50mm f1.8, Tamron f2.8 some speedlights and colored gels for them

Feedback

my best advice would be to research the subject you'll be shooting and for the photographer and model to enjoy themselves as much as possible , the more fun you have , the better the results will be
