Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in fort Rikasoli in Malta, a fort that was built by the Knights of St.John and afterwords used by Great Briton during WW2. The structure photographed was build during the British period of this fort and was used as barracks for the soldiers station there to protect the port of Valletta

Time

As shown by the shadow, this image was taken early morning as the sun was still very low in the skyline.

Lighting

This image was taken with only natural light, but to get details especially in the dark areas 3 images where taken and processed as HDR in photoshop.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon Eos 7d on a tripod.

Inspiration

I was looking for an image that i could later process to create and infinity feel.

Editing

This image had some post-processing done to it. Basically parts of it was converted to HDR , converted to B&W and the copied the same image and re-sized in the center to create the illusion of infinity

In my camera bag

A must in my bag is my 7D , speedlight, 50mm 1.8, 24-105 f4 IS , and 70-200 f2.8

Feedback

The concept of creating an infinity image is fun to make and not that hard to do, it is important that when contemplating such an image you need to make sure that there is continuity of the image that you are going to take so post processing can be easier and the final result much more realistic.
