Hi Henrik.
Love the photo. I am making plans to visit Iceland mid-August. Would it be possible for you to provide tips on where to go for best photo opportunities in Iceland. We can correspond privately if you like.

Location
I took this photo on Iceland some years ago.Time
It was my second day on Iceland and I wanted to use the spectacular clouds for a good photo. I had researched a lot for possible subjects and in the evening this waterfall, Seljalandsfoss, would be perfectly facing the sunset. So I waited there for sunset and all the other tourists leaving the place.Lighting
I had the luck of having a very special light from the sunset facing the waterfall and coloring the clouds.Equipment
Back then I've used a Canon 40d, a Tokina 11-16/2.8 and a tripod.Inspiration
This waterfall, Seljalandsfoss, was on my list of possible subjects on Iceland and I just had to wait for the light I wanted.Editing
I was photographing in RAW mode and brightended up the cliff in Lightroom. In Photoshop I did some very minor retouching and used Nik Color Efex for some finishing work.In my camera bag
Nowadays I have this in my bag: Canon 5d Mk II + Canon 7D Samyang 14/2.8 Canon 15/2.8 fisheye Canon 16-35/4 L IS Canon 50/1.4 Canon 85/1.8 Canon 70-200/4 L IS Tokina 100/2.8 macro Tamron 150-600 or Sigma 120-300/2.8 a tripod, different nd and gradient filters, tele convertersFeedback
In landscape photography preparation is a very important part. You need to know when and in which conditions a subject is photographed best. So you could need tools like Google Maps or/and TPE to know where the light will come from and can imagine what your photo will look like. For ultrawide angle photography you need practice...nothing is easier than photographing boring pictures with an ultra wide angle lens. I had to learn my lessons too.
